The story behind SimulAI Academy

Where the idea came from

SimulAI started as a personal study project. While preparing for exams, we ran into a recurring problem: the practice tests available were repetitive, predictable and almost always tied to the same question banks. Memorizing the test became easier than understanding the content, the exact opposite of what good studying should encourage.

What was missing was a tool that started from your material, the chapter you are reading, your teacher's handout, the photo of your notebook, and generated fresh questions on every round, with adjustable difficulty and without the crutch of an answer you already know. SimulAI Academy grew out of that concrete need: a customizable study generator, designed first for personal use and then opened up to students, teachers and institutions.

The premise has never changed: AI should be a study partner that triggers reasoning, not a shortcut to a ready-made answer. Everything on the platform, from the practice test to the mind map, from the slide deck to the multiplayer arena, is built around that idea.

Who builds SimulAI

SimulAI Academy is created and maintained by Douglas Oliveira, the project's founder and developer, at DataLock, a company focused on data security and protection. That origin is not a footnote: it shapes how the platform handles the information of the people who study with it.

Because it was born inside a security culture, SimulAI treats privacy as a design requirement, not an add-on. The documents you upload to generate content are used for the purpose you asked for, and our data decisions follow Brazil's data protection law (LGPD).
